Helping a metal coffee pot shine again.

The historic Hot-Cha Cafe (Also known as the Koffee Pot Cafe) is the last remaining example of Programmatic Architecture in the city of Long Beach. This building is loved by residents, and we're proud to be bringing back this 1932 restaurant.

In 2015, the property owners contacted We Are the Next to represent them during the process of applying for and obtaining a Certificate of Appropriateness with the Long Beach Cultural Heritage Commission. This process required our team to prepare a preservation plan for the building, and work with designers and consultants to identify the original color palette of the building and choose appropriate new alternative colors and roofing. After receiving approval, our team was brought on to work with existing project contractors and guide their work to appropriately treat the building's historic character-defining features.
