Project overview

We believe young people learn best through hands-on experiences. In order to provide a venue where those experiences could take place, We Are the Next partnered up with Taco Bell Corporation to save the world's first Taco Bell in 2015. When the building's renovations are complete, students will be able to use the space for meaningful and relevant youth programming.

The process

In January of 2015 the world found out that the first Taco Bell was in danger of being demolished. After the corporation intervened to save its first location, We Are the Next was hired to comprehensively assess the building, manage site improvements, and coordinate and execute its relocation so that the building could be spared and given a new use.

On November 19, 2015 the building was successfully relocated from its original location at 7112 Firestone Boulevard in Downey to the Taco Bell Corporate Headquarters in Irvine.

Our team is currently working with Taco Bell to identify potential uses for the building in order to ensure it is both safe moving forward as well as usable as a public asset.
